iTunes is giving away U2’s new album for free, but does anyone care?

Bono and U2 just performed a never-before-heard song live at the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch launch, and then announced that iTunes is releasing the band’s new album to all customers for free. Just what we wanted…

U2 has worked alongside Apple for 10 years, when the company released a limited edition U2 iPod (which I definitely had, despite probably only knowing about two of the band’s songs). Oh, and if you buy the Apple Watch, you can listen to the album on your actual watch.

If, for some reason, you actually want to download ‘Songs of Innocence’, it’s available for free on iTunes right now.
