Future15 is the London festival showcasing emerging tech trends

Future15, a new, two-week showcase event demonstrating how interactive technology is revolutionising the way brands, consumers and businesses interact, opened today, and we got a sneak peek at it for ourselves last night.

The brainchild of design studio, Studio Output and brand experience specialists, Engage; Future15 shows off the emerging tech trends for 2015, including virtual reality headsets, a 3D photobooth and a terrifying robot who can recite famous quotes from films.

Rob Coke, Brand Strategy Director at Studio Output, said: “This unique series of talks, workshops and demos will provide guests with enviable insight into the combined power of two hot topics: what happens when fantastic branded content meets the latest interactive technology.

“As a new era of brand experience dawns, we’re finding new, exciting ways to engage with audiences. We’re really excited to bring this technology to life using creative content and inspire its future application.”

As well as showing off the ways in which tech can be used in marketing, there will be workshops and talks throughout the two weeks of the festival, including ‘Where does marketing end and technology start?’, where guest specialists, such as production studio Found and trend explorers Franklin Till, will unveil the powers of merging technology with content marketing and creativity.

Steve Blyth, Engage founder and Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with Studio Output for the Future15 pop-up. We’re uniting to exhibit the ideal combination of innovative content and software, with 2015’s state-of-the-art hardware and technology developments, and our aim is to arm our partners, clients and visitors with the right tools and insights to propel their businesses to success throughout 2015 and beyond.”

In all honesty, we’d advise checking out Future15 simply for 36O Globalnet’s RoboThespian™, a life-sized humanoid robot designed for human interaction in a public environment. You should also definitely try out Kin’s 360 degree, 3D gif photobooth. It’s A LOT of fun, and produces great results.
