CES 2015: Star Wars headphones bring some geek style to your music

One of the things you look for with a pair of headphones is the look of the things. Sound is important, but it’s no good if you don’t want to be seen wearing the kit you’ve bought. Well you can forget about Beats, the real style comes from these Star Wars themed headphones unveiled at CES.

Following a limited run of Star Wars themed headphones last year, SMS Audio are going to be releasing four brand new designs on a much larger scale sometime later this year. Designs mimic the aesthetics from R2D2, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and the Imperial TIE Fighters.

Each pair will come with leather-covered memory foam for comfort, passive noise cancellation, and ‘enhanced bass’ responses. I’ve no idea what the audio quality is like, and frankly I don’t really care. Just look at how awesome they are.

We’ve no word on pricing just yet, but since last year’s run ended up retailing for around £150 so we expect the new ones may be a similar price. Be warned though, they do look much nicer than the originals and might actually end up being a tad more expensive.
