CES 2015: Hands-on with the GOgroove Groove Pals animal speakers

We’re pretty sure we’ve found the cutest speakers around at CES 2015. The GOgroove animal speakers are meant for children, but us adults can have fun with them too!

Editor Holly Brockwell got a chance to play with the GoGroove Panda mini speaker. However, there are two different sizes to choose from, as well as five different animals – although connecting the speakers together makes for bigger and better sound, as well as a zoo, so if you can’t decide between an owl and koala, you may as well get both.

The portable speaker can last up to 12 hours on battery power. It also has a 3.5mm cable that wraps around the speaker, for easy portability, and also lights up with LEDs, which is just an extra fun touch.

The mini speaker has dual stereo speakers and a passive woofer on the bottom, making for bigger sound than the portable GOgroove. The speaker also comes with a rechargeable battery for up to six hours of use per charge with continuous audio playback. Its best feature however is the moveable arms, because if you’re going to buy an animal-shaped speaker, you’d want it to interact with you!

The Mini GOgroove can be bought for £24.99 from Amazon, while the portable speaker is available, also from Amazon, for £14.99. Both speakers are available as a panda, owl, tiger, polar bear or koala, but, for some reason, only the Portable GOgroove is available as a penguin.
