CES 2015: Monster announces the BackFloat floating Bluetooth speaker

CES is the ideal place to unveil brand new audio devices, and Monster isn’t missing out on that opportunity. It’s just announced a brand new Bluetooth speaker, and not only is it waterproof it’s also capable of floating on top of the water.

It’s called the BackFloat and it’s capable of surviving in the shower, a swimming pool, or a lake. It’s got Bluetooth, 3.5mm input, and microphones that lets you use it as a speakerphone. Monster has also promised lots of bass, and great sound quality.

In addition to that, Monster also announced new wireless headphones, the iSport Bluetooth Wireless and the Sport Bluetooth Wireless Super Slim. Both of them are waterproof, connect to your phone via Bluetooth, and Monster claims that the Super Slim is so slim it will fit under a helmet without issue.

There’s no word on availability just yet, but the BackFloat will cost $169 (£112), the iSport Bluetooth Wireless will cost $130 (£86) and the Super Slim will be $150 (£99).
