Big Windows Mobile announcement today: are Microsoft trying to rival iPad's sexy factor?

In San Francisco today awaiting major announcement from Microsoft about Windows Mobile. After Apple stealing the media show for the past two months with their iPad, looks like Microsoft are looking to take back some of the initiative.

Announcement is at 10am San Francisco time, 6pm UK time – we’re expecting something funky and consumer focussed. The decor in the press room is more American Apparel photoshoot than tech conference and there are pictures of trendy indie kids in bomber jackets eating ice cream flickering up on the walls.
