The HTC Hima Ace Plus is rumoured to be a flagship iPhone 6 Plus rival

We’ve heard bits and pieces about the HTC Hima, rumoured to be the next HTC flagship, and now has popped up claiming that HTC will be releasing a larger version of the phone to rival the iPhone 6 Plus.

According to 4GNews it’s called the Hima Ace Plus, and it’ll be coming with a 5.5-inch bezel-free QHD display, a 2.3GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 3,000 mAh battery, a 20MP rear camera, and a 4MP front camera. While it’s not specifically mentioned in the report, it’s safe to assume that the phone will be running Android Lollipop.

The size of the display is interesting to note, mainly because the Hima rumours have been remarkably inconsistent about how big the phone will actually be. It could well be that the Ace Plus will have a 5.5-inch display, while the regular Hima will be slightly smaller. Previous rumours have claimed that the Hima will have a 5.2-inch display so such a small size difference seems remarkably unlikely. Then again that’s just speculation on my part.

Apparently the Hima Ace Plus will be released in March alongside the next flagship. WHile we don’t have any confirmation of that for the time being, presumably that will involve some sort of unveiling at MWC at the start of the month. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
