iPhone 6 vs HTC One M8 quiz description

A bit more about the way we work the quiz

The iPhone 6 only has a 4.7-inch screen, whereas the HTC One M8 has a 5.2-inch screen. It might not be a big difference, but the One M8 is noticeably bigger.

The One M8 has a screen with a 1080p resolution and a pixel density of 441 ppi. The iPhone 7 has a 720p display with a pixel density of 326ppi

The iPhone 6 had a thickness of 6.9mm, whereas the One M8 is slightly larger at 9.4mm

The One M8 has roughly 20 hours of talk-time battery life, Apple revealed that the iPhone 6 will only last around 14 hours.

The iPhone 6 has a TouchID fingerprint scanner that means no unauthorised people can get into your phone. The One M8 does not have this feature, instead utilising a passcode or unlock-pattern.

The HTC One M8 comes with 50GB of free storage space with Google Drive, meaning you can store a great many things in cloud servers. The iPhone 6 comes with iCloud, but only offers 5GB of free storage.

The iPhone 6’s camera may only have a resolution of 8MP, but the inclusion of Optical Image Stabilisation, a 1.5µm pixel size, and ⅓” sensor size means it takes some of the best photos of any camera phone around. Excluding the Lumia 1020. The One M8 is stuck as a measly 4MP with a pixel size of 2µm

The One M8 lets users choose between 16 and 32GB of internal storage, as well as allowing expansion with a microSD card up to 128GB in size. The iPhone 6 does not have microSD expansion, but is available with 16, 64, or 128GB of storage.

Because Apple uses it’s own iOS operating system on all iPhones, it is the company responsible for creating and releasing software updates, meaning everyone gets them at the same time. The One M8, on the other hand, uses Samsung’s modified version of Google’s Android. Android updates regularly, but it is down to the individual phone companies to adapt those updates for the handsets they released that do not run the vanilla version of the OS.
