A premium version of Tinder is coming next month

Tinder has found itself to become an incredibly popular service in recent times, and while it has been a completely free service up to this point a new premium version of the service is set to launch sometime next month.

According to Sean Rad, CEO and co-founder of Tinder, a whole host of new features that users have been “clamouring for” will be part of the premium service, and he believes that they will be valuable enough that a specific group of the app’s user base will end up paying for them.

All we know at the moment is that the core model of the app will remain unchanged and there won’t suddenly be a number of charges added onto existing part of the service. We don’t know much about what will be classified as premium content other than the fact that you will be able to extend the reach of the app beyond your current city.

As you can see in the video below Rad isn’t forthcoming with how much premium Tinder will cost, but he does believe that monetising these “hacks” will allow the service to reinvent itself.
