The Apple Watch may not be arriving until next year, but the developers are bound to be hard at work creating apps for the device. So far we don’t really know what they’ll look like, but these concepts give us a pretty good idea.
The concepts show off redesigns for apps Uber, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, Beats and more. The different apps get dealt with in different ways, showing that there isn’t really a one-size-fits-all approach to smartwatch apps.
It’s an interesting idea to see how devs will design their apps to fit the smaller screen and manage without all the space that a smartphone screen affords. While smartphone apps tend to focus on the functionality of an app, it seems smartwatches are stripping out all the excess features and minimising the design.
You can take a look at the designs here to see what the future may hold for mobile apps everywhere.
