Apple’s new iPhone ad is amazing, aspirational & (let’s face it) a bit ridiculous

Apple has created a new ad for the iPhone called ‘Dreams’ and it’s packed with scenarios of people using iPhones and they’re all nothing short of absolutely flippin’ amazing. (Check out the ad above for yourself if you don’t believe us.)

Dedicated Apple fans use the handset to measure windspeed on a cliff top, translate urgent medical enquires in a foreign country, check which direction you want to fly your plane in, read a horse’s heart rate AND paint a huge mural on the side of a wall in the middle of the night. Granted it’s a great way of showcasing all of the amazing things the iPhone can now do, because we had no idea it was quite so talented, but as Ad Week points out it’s all just a little OTT.

Fair enough explorers, meteorologists and horse doctors will be sure to get their hands on an iPhone now if they don’t have one already, but regular consumers will probably be left feeling a little bit confused (and not to mention totally unsatisfied with their boring desk jobs in the rainy UK now they’ve seen what else they could be doing).

Let us know what you think of the new iPhone ad in the comments below.
