Back in the late nineties all phones were basically fat chocolate bar style things. Motorola revolutionised the design of the mobile in 1998 with the first ever clamshell handset the 328. It sold by the bucketload and was widely copied.
In many ways it has been Motorola (and not Nokia or even Apple) that has lead the way in mobile design. Since the late nineties it has delivered an array of game-changing handsets which have been hugely popular and very influential.
