Talk to Santa online and spare yourself the crowds

Its been a long time since I queued to sit on Santa’s knee but the memory remains crystal clear. Long queues littered with chewing gum and shiny debris, all to speak with a portly man with a body odour problem. No wonder parents view his cosy chair with despair- braving the shops is bad enough, but visiting Santa just involves even extra cost for little reward.

Well Paltalk may have the answer with a chatroom dedicated to those who can’t (or don’t want to) visit Santa’s grotto.

They’ve set up an online Santa workshop room, where you can chat to him via webcam and ask for all sorts of expensive toys. If you don’t have a webcam don’t worry, as he’ll also reply to IM chats. There are 8 Santa’s hired this year, so I guess they’re working on rotation and they can cope with 5000 in the chat room ant any time. That may be equally frustrating though, as you’ll get a virtual queue. At least you don’t have to pay for the ‘novelty’ photo.
