Wanna beat Andy Murray? 10 gadgets and apps to improve your tennis game

With Wimbledon starting today, it’s that time of year again: when British people kid ourselves that we’re going to be the next Heather Watson or Andy Murray, start batting some balls around at the local park, and then realise that tennis is a lot harder than it looks on TV. But if you’re a serious player, or you want some incentive to keep up with your new favourite hobby, here are some gadgets, apps, and accessories that we think are ace. (Sorry.)

Tennis rackets that only hit balls are so passé. Make yours multitask with this clever little gadget that you can add to the strings for instant feedback on your swing. It syncs with a smartphone app that lets you see if you're improving over time, and even has an audio cue feature so you don't need to look at it to know if you're reaching your goals. It's easy to use, impact resistant, and weather resistant, and should last you four hours without a charge. It also doubles as a string dampener.

It's another great Kickstarter idea, and it's reached its goal with time to spare, but $165 (including postage) will let you get in on the action.
