Watch old and new London combined in this awesome spliced up video

Wonderful London 1924 & 2014 from Simon Smith on Vimeo.

People from all over the globe visit London because it’s just bursting with history, whether it’s a cool piece of architecture up there, an interesting anecdote about the famous author who lived over there or a creepy tale of murder just right there where you’re standing.

So, you don’t have to be a London resident to appreciate this particularly awesome mash-up of old and new London.

Created by Simon Smith, Wonderful London 1924 & 2014 is a mash-up of historical footage from our dear old city in 1924 spliced together with modern day footage Smith took from 2014. Smith describes his time-travelling work of art as a “window through time”, which sounds nearly as beautiful and mesmerising as the video itself. Well done Simon Smith, we can’t wait for the next instalment.
