Vers iPod alarm clock: in the hope that a thing of beauty makes getting up more bearable

Vers make good looking iPod docks, as illustrated here, and their foray into the world of alarms is equally lovely. They've shrunk the arguably non-important bit i.e. what actual time it is, in favour of a big ol' speaker front There's also something beautifully designery about the negative display.

There's an AM/FM radio, battery back-up and a 3.5mm input for other MP3 players. Like all Vers products, they're at pains to point out that each unit takes over a week to build (what they don't mention is the fact that their employees only work 30 minute days). That should justify the $219 price tag.
