Picture 4 of 10

A dedicated espresso machine for those devoted to their morning jolt of wake-up juice. The Hotpoint for Illy uses 19 bar pressure and heats water to a scorching 90°C for an espresso just like you’d drink in Rome – or as close as you can get on a misty English morning. It uses Illy’s Iperespresso capsule system and has a 1L capacity water tank so you can make multiple drinks at once. There are two coffee sizes and touch controls, and it takes less than a minute to fill your cup (and have you feeling human again).

It's £129.95 from John Lewis.

  • Using modern or latest coffee machine may sometimes give us headache in the operation and maintenance. Sometimes also the tastes are affected that’s why some coffee shops are using the traditional way or the old coffee machine to avoid problem in the operation and maintain customer to keep on coming back.

  • “Stylish” is just shorthand for “looks count for more than how well it works”. I’ve been able to test most of these machines over the past few years, and other than as a kitchen design centerpiece they will all end up in landfills in two years.
