5 Beauty Gifts for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is just two days away, so if you haven’t had a chance to find something lovely for your mum, here are a few beauty ideas to hopefully give you some inspiration:

Elemis Set

If you’re going for the wow factor then you can’t go wrong with an Elemis Gift Set.  I don’t think I know any mum who wouldn’t be thrilled to receive a set of goodies from this cult British skincare brand, however, if you don’t know what sort of products your mum would like, the pictured Top-to-Toe Beauty Collection includes a bit of everything for £55.

Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Gift Set

Crabtree & Evelyn have some absolutely gorgeous Mother’s Day sets this year, with my favourites being the Hand Therapy Gift Sets such as this Smooth Hands one, which contains six fragrances of their Hand Therapy hand cream.  There are a few different variants, as well as different sized sets, so you should be able to find one to suit your budget.  The Smooth Hands set is £22.

shots in a box

You’re probably a bit late for ordering this set in time for Mother’s Day, but if you’re not seeing your mum on the day, or you think you can get away with giving her a slightly late gift, how fantastically quirky is this set of Bubble Bath Shots? They’re less than a tenner so they could work as a late arriving add-on gift if you’re taking mum out for a meal or similar.  The Shots in the Box are £7.99.

The Body Shop Shea Collection

I’m predicting lots of panicked shoppers at The Body Shop this weekend as they realise they have just a few hours left to buy something fab for Mother’s Day.  Thankfully, The Body Shop have a huge array of gift sets to suit all budgets, so if you really can’t handle a full-blown shopping trip, The Body Shop is probably your best bet.  The Shea Premium Selection contains four Shea goodies and a bath lily for £28.

Gift Voucher

Last but not least, if you lack creativity, inspiration and time, or you just want to let mum pick her own treat, you can’t go wrong with a gift voucher.  You can go the typical route and get a voucher for one of the department stores, or you could get a voucher for some at-home pampering; Milk Beauty and Cityswish both offer beauty services such as massages, manicures and pedicures that take place in your own home at a time convenient for you, making them a great choice for busy mums who need some time out.  Obviously you can decide how much you spend on the voucher, which will dictate how much pampering mum gets.  My advice is to go for at least a couple of treatments to make it an experience for mum to remember.
