The OnePlus One can be sort-of bought without an invite

The OnePlus One was the breakout hit of last year, no doubt helped by the buzz generated from the unique invite-only purchasing system. There have been many promotions that let people buy a OnePlus One without an invite in the past, and now the company has announced you won’t need one anymore. As long as you buy it on a Tuesday.

From now on you’ll be able to buy the 16GB Silk White and 64GB Sandstone Black models without an invite every Tuesday, for 24 hours starting at 8AM GMT. They will set you back £229 and £269 respectively.

Of course if you do manage to get your hands on an invite, you can still use it as normal and order yourself a OnePlus One any day and any time you please. Until the invite expires, that is. OnePlus also confirmed that people buying a OnePlus One, even on a Tuesday, will still receive an invites that they can give to their friends.

So if you’ve been desperately trying to get your hands on a OnePlus One, you’re in luck. Thankfully today is Tuesday, so you can head over to the OnePlus store and grab yourself a new phone right now.
