Google Glass 2.0 is already in development

Google may have given up on the Explorer version of Google Glass, with plans to reset the entire Glass programme, but that doesn’t mean it’s giving up on Google Glass altogether. Quite the opposite actually.

Tony Fadell, CEO of Nest and the man now tasked with overseeing the future of Google Glass, has revealed a few details about the gadget’s successor. This included confirmation that the device is already in development, and that it will not be a “public experimentation” like the first model. Instead people will be getting their hands on the finished model from day one.

Fadell said:

“Early Glass efforts have broken ground and allowed us to learn what’s important to consumers and enterprises alike. I’m excited to be working with Ivy [Ross] to provide direction and support as she leads the team and we work together to integrate those learnings into future products.”

Sadly Fadell did not mention any sort release schedule, so we have no idea when the new Google Glass will be falling into our hands. Don’t expect it anytime soon.
