Windows 10 could be coming to phones sooner rather than later

We all know that Windows 10 is coming, but we don’t now exactly when it’ll be arriving next year. Fortunately, thanks to leaks, we know that the mobile version of Windows 10 could be arriving relatively soon.

According to Nazwill Jajeeb, a well known leaker and former Microsoft employee, three versions of Windows for mobiles are being tested by Microsoft, one of which is 8.15.12434 aka Windows 10.

While this is no indicator of how far away the Windows 10 mobile release will be, the fact that it’s already in the testing phase is an indication that Microsoft is at least making good progress with the software. An external software testing company can make the testing phase a whole lot easier.

The only problem is that the company will need to release the other two updates first, the previously announced Update 1 for Windows Phone 8.1 (which has already started rolling out to some devices) and another unrevealed update. As TechRadar points out, the fact that Microsoft has told us that there will be no Update 2 for WP 8.1 means that this is likely something minor that won’t get much attention.

Other than that we don’t know much about the mobile version of Windows 10. We’ll keep you updated if we hear more.
