EE has launched EE TV for its broadband customers

If you’re an EE broadband customer paying over £9.95 a month then you’re in luck, because EE has launched its EE TV service for you to use free of charge.

The hardware itself is supposedly worth over £300 and gives customers access to 70 Freeview channels, catch-up and on-demand services, as well as over 10,000 TV shows and films.

But it’s not just compatible with your TV, in fact it’s also compatible with a wide range of mobile and tablets that allows people to take advantage of the multi-screen feature which lets you play different programming on up to four devices.

EE said:

“The powerful TV service incorporates a companion app that delivers the simplicity of a smartphone or tablet touch screen experience. This enables instant, easy access to a menu that includes the TV guide, recordings and On Demand services.”

It sounds like a rather nifty device, which is great if you’re an EE customer already. Will it make people switch over to EE broadband to take advantage of it though? I’m sure Kevin Bacon would say that it’s a no-brainer, but only time will tell.

In the meantime you can check out an introductory video below and try to make up your own mind.
