The Pebble smartwatch is officially coming to the UK

The Pebble was the first smartwatch to really kick off, no doubt thanks to its successful Kickstarter campaign. Pebble has announced that it is expanding its retail efforts, meaning the Pebble and Pebble Steel are officially coming to the UK.

Well the Pebble has been available here for some time, but mostly in the form of imported models. The fact that it’s officially available here means that we can get out hands on one of the best smart watches available without being ripped off in the process.

The Pebble will cost £99, and the Pebble Steel will cost £179.99. Both will be available at Amazon, Dixons Carphone, and O2 in a variety of colours. O2 itself has exclusive rights to the sale of a ‘Cherry Red’ Pebble.

Pebble also announced a number of new fitness-based apps that turn your watch into a fitness tracker as well as quick launch for apps so that you can open them from the home screen.
