EE is going to sell a £99 4G tablet

Just in time for Christmas, and quite a bit cheaper than its own £199 4G Eagle tablet, EE is offering the Alcatel One Touch Pop 7S tablet for a mere £99 on pay-as-you-go.

It’s being marketed as the UK’s most affordable 4G tablet, and comes with a 7-inch display, 4G connectivity, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, and 1GB of RAM. It’ll come with Android Jelly Bean, but will update to KitKat once you complete the set-up.

The sale of the tablet also happens to tie in with EE’s new promotion which promises 100MB of free 4G data every month when you buy a pay-as-you-go smartphone or 4G tablet. The promotion starts today and ends on January 31st next year.

It’s a fairly good deal really, and if you want something rather basic then you might want to look into it. Just don’t expect iPad-level quality for that price.
