Twitter’s in-tweet buy button goes live today

It’s been speculated about for quite some time, but today it has become official — you can now buy products from within Twitter at the click of a button.

For the time being, only a select number of artists and brands will be able to sell you things through Twitter itself. Examples include Burberry, (RED), and Pharrell. That being said it’s likely that this service will expanded on a much larger scale, and within a few years it’ll probably be as familiar to a lot of people as Amazon is today.
