Sony has announced the Xperia E3, a high-spec budget smartphone

Budget smartphones are all the rage these days, especially when it’s something with some impressive specs and a low price tag. Sony is the latest phone company to release such a phone with the Xperia E3, a high specification phone that won’t destroy your credit rating when you buy it.

But don’t fret, you don’t have to sacrifice the style and design of your phone either, the E3 is slim, lightweight, and has been designed to prevent scratching t the corners. The display itself is also made from scratch resistant tempered glass, so you don’t have to worry too much about wear and tear.

Hardware wise, the E3 comes with a 5MP camera, a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, a 4.5-inch display (resolution hasn’t been revealed yet), 4G connectivity, and dual SIM functions so that you can keep your home and work mobiles in one single device. Also included is STAMINA mode which keeps the phone going 14% longer. It may not seem like much, but it could be the difference between your phone dying before you get to a charger.

Presumably the phone will run on Android, but this hasn’t been confirmed by Sony, nor has the pricing. But if you like what you’ve heard, you’ll be able to get hold of an Xperia E3 this Autumn in a choice of white, black, brown, or yellow.
