Samsung’s Gear VR headset could be rather cheap

According to reports, if you wanted to get your hands on Samsung’s Gear VR headset as a standalone accessory it’ll cost somewhere within the region of $200, which is £120 directly converted. So chances are it’ll be around £200 when it comes to the UK. But that does make it cheaper than a number of smartwatches, and considering what it can do that’s rather impressive.

The problem is that that $200 will not get you a Galaxy Note 4, you have to buy that separately. We don’t have a specific UK price just yet, but the Galaxy Note 4 is set to cost $800 off contract in the US — meaning mobile VR is actually pretty expensive. It wouldn’t be too much to assume that there will be some sort of bundle right?

Deatils about where and when the Gear VR haven’t been made available just yet, but we should be finding out in the next month or so. [Venture Beat via Engadget]
