Ikea’s ‘bookbook’ spoofs the typical Apple advert

You know how Apple’s adverts are, the calm voices describing all the new features that the phone has to offer. Well Ikea have come out with their own version advertising the ‘bookbook’ aka its latest catalogue.

So what does the ‘bookbook’ have to offer? It’s totally wireless and you don’t have to worry about recharging. Plus the quality is so high that it makes the retina display look like a CRT from the 1950s. Better yet it even has multi-user support, tactile feedback, an easy to use interface, and voice activated security features.

Unfortunately there’s no backlighting, portability is a bit of a concern, and there’s no option to share any of the items via social media or Bluetooth.

Of course it’s just a fancy way of trying to get people to go out and get their hands on the new catalogue, and it’s sort of working. [Slashgear]
