Mobile rumours: Windows HTC One M8 UK release, Motorola to release eight devices this year?

The world of mobile news is scary and complicated, with rumours flying about all over the place about what the many different companies are planning on doing. If you don’t know what you’re looking for then chances are you won’t get very far, so to ease your burden here are some of today’s biggest mobile rumours.

1. The Windows Phone HTC One M8 could come to the UK before the end of the year

Yesterday saw the official announcement of the HTC One M8 running Windows Phone 8.1, which turned out to be a Verizon (and US) exclusive. Well it sounds like HTC isn’t deliberatly restricting sales by limiting the phone to a single market, since a report from Neowin claims that the phone will be released in the UK during Q4 of 2014. Neowin claims that “sources at one of the UK’s leading independent phone retailers” passed on the information. No mention of which retailer they’re talking about, but we don’t really have long to wait before we find out f the report is true or not. [Neowin via Ubergizmo]

Everyone is expecting quite a bit from Motorola, with the likes of the Moto 360, Moto X, and “Shamu” expected by the end of the year. But it seems as though it’s not going to end with those three devices, no Motorola is going to be a very busy company in the next four months. According to the reports the eight devices will be Shamu/Nexus 6, Droid, Droid Maxx, Droid Turbo, Moto S, Moto G, Moto X+1, and the Moto X Play.

No word on what most of these devices will entail, or if all of them will actually be released to the public. Honestly, we’ll just have to wait and find out. [TKTechNews via Ubergizmo]
