Mobile rumours: Another Nexus X leak, more on the HTC Nexus tab

The world of mobile news is scary and complicated, with rumours flying about all over the place about what the many different companies are planning on doing. If you don’t know what you’re looking for then chances are you won’t get very far, so to ease your burden here are some of today’s biggest mobile rumours.

1. More information on the Nexus X leaks

A retailer listing has popped up with a few tidbits that are supposedly about the upcoming Nexus X. It reiterates that the phone will have a Snapdragon 805 processor and a 13MP camera, but also mentions a 5.2-inch display. Those of you who have been paying attention will note that the rumours can’t make their mind up whether or not the phone will have a 5.2-inch display or a monster-sized 5.9-inch display. The listing also indicates that the phone will be available in both 32GB and 64GB versions, and will cost €419, which directly converted is about £333.

There’s no evidence that any of this is true, and the listing has since been taken down. Hopefully, if the rumours were true, we should be seeing the Nexus X by the end of October, but we may not be getting a huge fanfare from Google when it does. [TKTech News via Ubergizmo]

2. We’ve heard a little bit more about the upcoming Nexus tablet from HTC

We’ve tended to hear a little bit more about the HTC Nexus tablet than we have of the Nexus X/6, partially because it was basically confirmed HTC were working on it months ago. Well now as we draw closer to the apparent launch window we’re hearing bits and pieces about what the tablet might include. According to TKTech News, the tablet will come with a 64-bit 2.5 GHz processor, an 8.9-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 (roughly 340ppi). It’s also supposed to have a much more efficient battery, meaning the extra boost the processor will provide won’t be a significant disadvantage when it comes to power usage.

Phone Arena are particularly trusting of this leak, but it remains within the realms of the world of rumours– meaning we should treat it with suspicion and caution. [TKTech News via Phone Arena]
