LG unveils the G3 A: Meet the G3’s little sister with an awesome 13MP camera

Only months after unveiling the LG G3 and LG G3 Beat and days after (accidentally) revealing details of the LG GS Stylus, the South-Korean tech giant has lifted the lid on the LG G3 A, which is essentially just a smaller and slightly less powerful version of the flagship G3.

According to Engadget, just because the LG G3 A is smaller than the G3 at 5.2-inches, that doesn’t mean that it’s not still a really capable and desirable smartphone. It’s running on Android KitKat has a 1080p screen, 2GB RAM, 32GB of built-in storage and a Snapdragon 800 processor (2.6GHz). The great thing is, it’s got exactly the same 13MP camera that’s inside the G3.

The great camera quality makes us think that it’s a great option for mobile photography-lovers who like everything about the flagship G3 except it’s size. Granted there’s only 0.3-inches difference between them, but when you’re talking phones just a fraction can be make or break – especially if you’re picky and wouldn’t touch anything that could be considered a ‘phablet’ with a bargepole.

It looks like the LG G3 A may only be available in South Korea at the moment (and it could stay that way), but we’ll keep you posted if we hear anything else about it being more widely available.
