Want some new jewellery and to keep safe? Safelet is here!

It’s normal to feel a bit scared when a random guy approaches you on the street when you’re alone, but it shouldn’t be that way. Safelet is a bracelet that connects to your smartphone and allows you to send out an emergency alert to friends, family and the police with just one click.

Designed to offer women a better chance to fight against sexual violence using new technology and social network features, the bracelet works by allowing you to invite friends or family through social networks or an email as many people as you wants to join your “guardian network”.

There is also an option to include the whole “guardian community” in the network to get even more protection. The bracelet, when activated, will show the exact location of the sender, and also has a microphone to record the events.

Founder of Safelet, Herman Veenstra said: “We want to create a world where there is always someone around to help you when you most need it.”

Safelet started a campaign on Indiegogo this week, where early supporters can buy the wearable for a discounted £72.
