With Wimbledon starting today, it’s that time of year again: when British people kid ourselves that we’re going to be the next Heather Watson or Andy Murray, start batting some balls around at the local park, and then realise that tennis is a lot harder than it looks on TV. But if you’re a serious player, or you want some incentive to keep up with your new favourite hobby, here are some gadgets, apps, and accessories that we think are ace. (Sorry.)
Tennis ball dryer
Most local clubs don’t have a £100 million retractable roof, so sometimes you'll be playing in drizzle or the ground will be damp, and your tennis balls will get wet. That’s where the aptly-named tennis ball dryer comes in. Put up to four balls in at a time and it will wick out excess moisture , meaning they should last longer. It also contains a net measure so you can be sure the net's always the right height, and it can be worn across the body, so you have less to carry.
