HANNSpad SN1AT71 - £150
The HANNSpad was announced just today - and seems pretty competitive for the price. Sporting a 1.5ghz processor, 16GB storage and 1GB of RAM, it should be relatively speedy. Like all of the tablets in this feature, it runs Android Jellybean - the current version - though the manufacturers also claim they’ll be a KitKat update as soon as it is released. Also on board is the standard wifi and bluetooth technology you’d expect and a 2 megapixel rear camera (and disappointing 0.3 megapixel front camera). There’s also Micro-SD expansion up to 32GB and even USB On The Go support - meaning you can plug-in a keyboard if you really want to. Perhaps crucially too, it has a nice big 1280x800 widescreen display.
On a limited budget but want a tablet? Why settle for a 7″ tablet when – if you’re prepared to look beyond the big brands – there are some ten-inchers that could fill the the tablet-shaped hole in your life. Here’s some of the cheapest.
