However, it’s only over the past few years after the quirky sartorial choices of famous celebrities (we’re looking at you Gaga) have become so popular that the LED dress has really taken centre stage.

Katy Perry has donned a number of creations by designers Cute Circuit to all kinds of events and award ceremonies and Lady Gaga squeezed herself into something that looked like an alien from the early Star Trek days.
