Cheap Android smartphones have pushed the iPhone4 out of the UK’s top five phones, in figures released for last month.

The HTC Desire now tops the leaderboard as the UK’s most popular phone with the £450 iPhone4 down at number 6.

The reason for the iPhone’s faltering sales seem to be all about price and more attractive deals from competitors – with phones often coming free on contracts – though complaints about the antennae and the expectations of the iPhone 5 arrival in next the 6 months could be causing iPhone lovers looking to upgrade to wait before making another purchase…

  • Apple now has serious competition for the smartphone market and if all is led to believe, then Apple wants to produce an iPhone Nano version of the iPhone 4 in order to compete with likes of HTC and Samsung.
