Make sure your next pool party goes swimmingly (sorry…) with a brand new gizmo from Medion. The Life E69010 is a wireless and waterproof speaker that will float on top of the water, broadcasting your favourite tracks as you show off your doggy paddle.

An 865 MHz transmitter streams music from your mobile, mp3 player of laptop straight to the speaker, and promises to deliver a clear sound from up to 100m away. The speaker itself looks pretty cool, with a black, spherical design, and won’t be damaged even if completely submerged in water. With 4 buttons for volume and power, you don’t even have to leave your lilo to mess with your music source.

It’s a great idea for pool parties, and even holidays (as long as your fellow holidaymakers like your tunes, that is). The company suggests that the gadget can also be used for relaxing in the bath – however, we’re not sure we need our music *quite* that close when we’re having a soak.
