Sky offers up lacklustre online viewing package

Following the lead of most of television-land, Sky has decided to make its content available online. Except as a ‘premium content’ service, it’ll be charging you for the pleasure.

Similar to it’s TV-based packages, there’s an Entertainment Package, with the likes of the Disney Channel, British Eurosport and the National Geographic Channel, which will set you back £15 a month. The next up, Entertainment Plus, bags you either Sky Sports 1,2 or 3, and costs £26 a month. Pay a mammoth £34 and you get all the sports channels, plus Sports on Demand.

Until the end of January, you’ll be able to sign up for £7.50, £22 and £30 respectively, but is that enough of a discount to tempt you? With so much on-demand content available through the likes of the iPlayer, and with Sky not having any really killer shows at the moment, we’re not convinced.
