Guitar Praise: Unite your love of god and guitar hero

Are the malevolent subliminal messages and satanic lyrics featured in rock music a bit too evil and riddled with sin and darkness? Did it prevent you making the Guitar Hero purchase coz you’re a bit more of a gentle soul who would love to rock, but not to the likes of AC/DC or Metallica? Fear not, Guitar Praise: Solid Rock has been created with people like you in mind… oh, and for the god-fearing folk too.

The same rules apply as Guitar Hero bar a few minor tweaks. Firstly, this isn’t for games consoles – it’s for the Mac and PC. Secondly, rather than rocking out to the sounds of well known rock bands, Guitar Praise is designed for you to rock out those riffs to Christian rock bands (which apparently exist). Do12 Stones and Days of Fire ring a bell? Thirdly, it’s a bit more sympathetic than its evil rival Guitar Hero. Rather than getting booed on stage when your coordination skills begin to lack, the Christian artists will simply take a break and stop the music. Lastly, to ensure Christianity is the core focus of the game its creators have ensured the on-screen lyric display “reflects Christian values”.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, you can pre-order now prior to its release on 25 September. At $99.95 it’s pricey, but can you really put a price on Christian rock?
