Shiny Poll: 3G iPhone stock

O2 has taken a brave step in essentially blaming Apple for the lack of 3G iPhone stock coming to the UK. According to the network, some stores won't be receiving more than 'a couple of dozen' handsets - not good news for those not yet in a queue.

So, take our quiz. After over the jump.

Ouch. eBay has received a blow today, as a French court has asked them to pay a significant sum to the owners of the Louis Vuitton brand, LVMH, after allowing counterfeit products to be sold on the site. It's estimated that 90% of Louis Vuitton products on the site are estimated to be fake. So, put your thinking caps on - how much do you think they've been ordered to pay?

Answer over the jump.

Rumour has it that The Beatles are in talks to produce a Guitar Hero/Rock Band type game. As a recent convert to Guitar Hero on the Wii, such news fills me with pure delight. I can just about manage rock anthems, but I'm a Beatles girl at heart. What about you?

Oh, have you heard? Today is the 9th June. Yes, that's the same 9th June that heralds the opening of World Wide Developer Conference in San Francisco, and the same 9th June that will see Steve Jobs take to the stage for the keynote speech at 6pm UK time. Are your nails bitten to the quick? Did you wake up with the sweats at 4am last night? Will he announce a 3G iPhone? Tell us all.

I have just spent the most frustrating morning dealing with crappy technology (Motorola Z10, your review time is coming) and it's left me feeling shaky, wound up and completely frustrated. It turns out tech doesn't always work perfectly - what's to blame for your rage?

If you're reading this, you're probably already a reader of tech blogs. Really, it's fine with us if you read other tech blogs. We can totally deal with it *sob*. But what else? There are certain niches that translate particularly well online, so tell us, which of these are you a fan of?

Would you geek out with binary nail varnish?

Far be it from me to comment on anyone else's sartorial choices (hey, who am I kidding that's how I make my living!) but I'm not sure if these binary nail decorations are in good taste or not. True, they're funky and kinda matrix-y, and hopefully they were made with transfers and didn't actually require hours of painstaking number-writing. Are they stylish though.. I'm not so sure. So I put it to you dear readers, would you wear them?

Facebook is getting a redesign, due to be launched next month. There will apparently be less clutter, and tabs at the top rather than a news feed. The rumours are that Facebook will be 'consulting users' in the next few weeks, but Zuckerberg hasn't called me. Has he called you? Oh well. Fill out this survey instead - I'll post him the results.

This odd looking machine is designed to sit under your desk, so that you can absentmindedly pedal whilst you're wrestling with Powerpoint presentations, blogging your emo-shuns or playing GTA4. Your pedal power then gets harnessed, resulting in a recharged iPod battery, or more juice for your mobile.

At first, I scoffed. And then I thought. This could be the alternative to my incessant foot tapping, and I probably wouldn't even notice I was doing it. And as an added bonus, surely I'd have the legs of Claudia Schiffer within a week?

For some reason people got all bothered over Katherine Heigl having earphones in without music playing so people don't bother her. Her rep claims that she has her earbuds in because she has an iPhone and is ON THE PHONE! However, the gals over at GeekSugar admit that: "It's nice to know she's not hiding out, but I totally have to fess up here -- I do this!"

Hey, I do it, too. I personally don't care if Katherine Heigl walks around LA listening to pretend music if it means that people leave her alone. It's not like I ever have to avoid groups of adoring fans as I walk from the Tube to my office, but I sometimes have my earphones on just for the sake of having them on. It not only blocks out some of the noise in my office and but there's just something comforting in having a pair of gushy headphones snuggling your head. Tell us...

According to a Woolworths spokesperson, the Wii Fit is looking to sell quicker than the Wii console itself. But how fast is fast? Answer the poll below, and then click over to see if you got it right (and to see a video of me trying it out).

It struck me the other day that whilst bloggers might spend hours and hours (and hours) on the design of their blogs, there's a lot of people who read the posts through an RSS reader, missing out on all the designery effort. Yes, these people might not get the whole story, but no, they don't have the time or the inclination to load up each individual site.

So, where do you stand?

gadgets pile.jpgWhen I was around 18 my Dad bought me a mobile phone dependency kit - according to him my phone was constantly attached to my ear. Although I have calmed down somewhat now, I still don't like to switch it off (unless I really don't want to be disturbed) and according to research commissioned by Energizer, it would seem that I have something in common with the whole of Britain. The nation is apparently "always on" when it comes to gadgets.

Take a look at some of the findings after the jump.

At last there's stuff to get excited about. The Wii Fit is coming on the 25th April, and Rock Band for the Xbox will be with us by the 25th May. Which are you going to spend your hard earned cash on? Neither? Both? Tell us your brains.

Shiny Poll: What the hell is it?

I got a press release today on nomo-phobia, which apparently 53% of us suffer from. It was a story released by a company called Zyb, and that's all the clues you're getting. Want to find out the answer? Click on over the jump.

So, big news. Ofcom have given the go ahead for mobile phones to be used during flights, once an altitude of 10,000 has been reached. RyanAir and BMI have both welcomed this, and are planning on integrating the technology needed.

So, what do you reckon? Good idea? Bad idea? And whilst you're at it, can someone explain to me why my using my mobile during take-off and landing is likely to crash the plane?

It's been quite a month. There's been... well, there was... ok, well don't forget that time you... Nah, you're right. There was not much new knowledge being imparted in the past 30 days. Still, here's some things we learned about you.

- The majority of people we looking forward to better quality camera phones from Mobile World Congress. Sorry about that.

- 39% of you rotters have snooped in a partner's texts or emails

- 16% have broken up with someone over text or email

- 45% of you still think that high definition is too expensive to invest in

- 27% of respondents were gutted with the demise of HD-DVD as they owned a player

- Facebook was the most popular user generated website, followed by YouTube and Wikipedia

- 7% of people have never heard of The Beatles. 6% are probably being obtuse

There are currently 248 news articles on Google News regarding whether the Beatles back catalogue is coming to iTunes or not. Some say it's on. Some say it's not on. Apple are cross. Michael Jackson is cross.

Has anyone asked how you feel about it though? No, I bet they haven't. Typical, right? Well, here you are. Spill your guts.

According to a new survey, YouTube has become the most popular user generated content, pushing Wikipedia off the top spot from last year. What do you reckon? Were they right? Tick as many boxes as you use on a weekly basis in the poll below.

Apparently, last night the UK experienced an earthquake. A proper one. It measured 5.2 on the earthquake measuring scale, although since I have no idea what the range is, it's difficult to attribute any meaning to that fact. However, I was fast asleep at 1am this morning, so disappointingly, slept right through it. According to The Guardian, emergency services had a 'wave of calls' but most bizarrely "The Guardian received calls from startled readers in Bedfordshire, Yorkshire, Manchester, Blackpool, London and Leicester". Who calls a national newspaper to find out what's going on? Have The Guardian suddenly been made the fourth emergency service? Mentalists.

Anyway, apparently it was felt all over the UK, so tell me. Did you feel anything? Let me know in the comments the details of the nonsexual earthmoving - I want to know what I missed.
