A premium gold Apple Watch is apparently on the way

When Apple first announced the Apple Watch back in September, it was revealed that the basic version of the wearable gadget would cost $350 (£220). Now we have a bit more information on more premium versions of the watch, models that could cost up to £3,125.

According to iGen.fr, there will be a gold version of the Apple Watch which will cost between $3,000 and $4,000 (£2,500-£3,125). Similarly there will be steel and black versions hat will cost $500 (£310). The site itself is somewhat reliable according to 9to5Mac.

While we have no definitive proof that these premium devices will ever make it to market, if they even exist, it does seem like something Apple would do consider its focussing on the Apple Watch as a fashion accessory more than a price of technology.

But in case you think these sorts of prices are excessive, other rumours have suggested that there might be a $10,000 (£6,250) gold Apple Watch on the way, so there’s always room to add more extravagance.
