FFC papers reveal Apple branded Beats Solo2 headphones

Since it acquired the headphone company in May Apple doesn’t appear to have done a great deal with Beats, There have been rumours, but nothing conclusive. That looks like it’s about to change, however.

New papers filed at the US FCC, spotted by 9to5Mac, indicate that a new version of Beats Solo2 headphones could be on the way, and that they will feature Apple branding.

The listing shows the Apple logo stamped onto the headphones, and lists the company as the creator and tester. They look like they have the same design as the original Solo2 headphones, but the documents specifically mention low-energy Bluetooth 4.0 technology.

At the moment we don’t know when these new headphones will arrive, or how much they will cost, but considering the documents are already in the hands of regulatory bodies we should be seeing them sooner rather than later.
