The Xperia Z4 could be a seriously powerful phone

Sony’s Xperia Z3 wasn’t that much of an upgrade from the Z2, hardly surprising since there was only 6 months between the release of the two devices. From the sounds of things that won’t be the case with the Xperia Z4, because if these leaked specs are accurate then it’s going to be one hel of a machine.

According to ‘trusted sources’ who spoke to Android Origin, the phone will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display, a 64-bit 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Like previous Xperia devices the camera is likely to be 20.7MP. That is one pretty impressive device right there.

The device will also apparently include a dedicated amp, and will retain a similar appearance to the Xperia Z3 — albeit slightly larger. Rumour has it that it will be released sometime early next year.

At this stage it’s important to remember that this isn’t official information, so some of it might be incorrect. In any case Android Origin claims that one of the sources involves accurately leaked the Xperia Z3 Compact, which gives me some hope that some of this information is accurate — even if some is not.
