Samsung announces the social-network optimised Galaxy A5 and A3

Samsung has today announced two new phones designed to offer the best social networking experience possible. the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3. Both phones are optimised to allow social networking fans the opportunity to take photos, connect with friends, and share their lives as quickly and easily as possible.

Coming in a full metal body, not only are these phones the thinnest phones Samsung has made so far (6.7mm and 6.9mm thick respectively), Samsung claims that they are designed to “make the advanced Galaxy experience even more accessible to young and trend conscious consumers”.

Both phones come with a 5MP front facing camera and a variety of features that allow users to take the best selfie possible. The A5 is a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, a 5-inch Super AMOLED display, 4G, a 13MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory (expandable by a further 64GB), and a 2,300 mAh battery. The A3 has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, an 8MP rear camera, and a 1,900 mAh battery.

Both phones will be available in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue, or Champagne Gold.

Samsung  has announced that the phone will be released in select markets from November of this year — starting in China. UK availability has no been revealed just yet, but Samsung has promised it will be announced soon.
