Tesco has teased the Hudl 2, announces October 3rd event

Tesco may have given up on its plans to release a Hudl smartphone, but that doesn’t mean the Hudl tablet is dead. Quite the contrary, in fact. The Hudl has done remarkably well because it wasn’t absolutely terrible, and now it seems Tesco is going to be unveiling an updated version of the tablet on October 3rd.

The invite reads “We want to show you the bigger picture”, so it would seem that the next Hudl tablet might be sporting a display larger than the current model’s seven inches.

Tesco has also changed the landing page for the Hudl, offering people the opportunity to sign up for email updates about the Hudl 2 and the chance to see a sneak peak of the device before anyone else. So essentially they have revealed that the Hudl 2 is happening, just not when and what will be involved.

The original Hudl managed to sell over 500,000 units, and with an impressive set of specs on offer for less than £100 it’s hardly surprising that a newer version is on its way.
