Monitor company Hannspree set to release its first smartphone

Today Hannspree has announced that it is expanding it’s selection of mobile devices by releasing its very first smartphone alongside new a new tablet PC.

The new smartphone will come with a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.7GHz Octa-core processor, 1GB or RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8-2MP dual camera, and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). The tablet, on the other hand, comes with a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 display, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, a 2-5MP dual camera, 8GB of internal storage, and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat).

There’s no word on pricing just yet, but since Hannspree has always focussed on making its products affordable it’s unlikely that they’ll break the bank. There’s no definite release date yet, just that both devices will be released in Q4 2014.
