The world of mobile news is scary and complicated, with rumours flying about all over the place about what the many different companies are planning on doing. If you don’t know what you’re looking for then chances are you won’t get very far, so to ease your burden here are some of today’s biggest mobile rumours.
1. Photos of the Nokia Lumia 730 surface online
Posted by Windows Central, these photos apparently give us our first glimpse at the upcoming Nokia Lumia 730. If these are photos of what people are saying, then it appears the 730 won’t be having a massive resdesign– instead it’ll look pretty similar to most other recently released Nokias. We know absolutely nothing else about the Lumia 730, but we’ll update you if any more information gets leaked. [Windows Central via Ubergizmo]
2. LG’s Galaxy Note rival might not be as high-end as people expected
When the Lg G3 Stylus first leaked, people were hoping for a device that would rival Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4, but it looks like that isn’t going to be the case. The G3 Stylus might actually be a downgrade if reports are to be believed. According to The Korea Times, the device is going to have a different battery size and a resolution lower than the G3’s impressive 2K. It’s also reporting that the G3 stylus is intended as a budget smartphone, but did not reveal the price.
LG hasn’t revealed any specs so far, and it could be that the information The Korea Times has is inaccurate. Whatever the case, the phone is expected to be released at some point in the coming months so we don’t have long to find out through the official channels. [The Korea Times via BGR]
3. Three Sony Xperia phones might be heading our way very soon
We’ve heard about the upcoming Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 compact, rumoured to be revealed at this year’s IFA conference, but it looks like those aren’t the only smartphones Sony is planning on releasing in the near future. Leaked documents indicate that Sony is going to be releasing three devices with the model numbers D6633 / D6603, D5803, and D2403. D6633 / D6603 is apparently the Xperia Z3, D5803 is apparently the Z3 Compact, and D2403 is reported to be another updated model — the Xperia M2 Aqua.
Sadly translation is proving unfruitful, so there is very little information to available. But since IFA isn’t that far off we probably don’t have very long to wait and find out. [PocketNow]
