We’ve not got long to wait until the reported launch of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it seemed like we’d finished up with the leaks thanks to hearing about all the specs. That’s not actually the case, since the specs have been confirmed by what it apparently official marketing material for Samsung’s upcoming device. The above image indicates that the phone will have a 12MP front camera, and 2.3 MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, no microSD expansion, a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, and an 1,860 mAh, all running on Android 4.4.

Looks like the rumours were correct. Anyone else dissppointed about the resolution? [TechMundo]

2. Samsung’s phonewatch, the Gear Solo, reported to be arriving next month

Smartwatches have their uses, but for the most part they can’t be used for much without linking them to a smartphone first, well that may not be the case in future if the rumours that Samsung is planning on unveiling a phonewatch at IFA are true. That’s right, in a few months time you might be able to make phone calls, as well as send text messages and emails, from your wrist. It’s like science fiction has become reality (again).

Apparently the watch is going to be aimed at outdoorsy types who want to stay in touch without having to lug their phone around. It’s also being reported that the watch will run on Tizen rather than Android, which would make it the first “phone” running Samsung’s in-house operating system. [PCAuthority]

3. Specs for the HTC built Nexus 9 leak

We’ve heard a great deal about the tablet, which is codenamed Volantis and rumoured to be the Nexus 9, and the first spec leaks have occurred giving us a look at what HTC might have up its sleeves. Impressively the device is supposed to come with 4GB of RAM, a dual-core 64-bit GPU, an 8.9-inch 2560 x 1600 display, and Android L. It’s rumoured to be priced at $300 (£179 directly converted).

The tablet has been subject to much speculation in recent months, particularly after the announcement of HTC’s press event on 19th August, but we’ve yet to have any official details. All will be revealed in time, however. [Extreme Tech]

4. HTC One Windows Phone specs leaks

We’ve heard about the upcoming Windows Phone variant of the HTC One M8, and now it seems that the phone’s hardware has been leaked online. According the WP Central, the device will run Windows Phone 8.1, will have a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, microSD expansion up to 128GB, A 5-inch full HD Gorilla Glass display, a 2,600 mAh battery, as well as coming with HTC’sBoomsound and Dot View Case technology.
