Smart devices now alerted to Flash sites

In the past we have had to click through to many websites on our mobile device only to be greeted by that funny little window and a blank image telling us a site is using Flash (So 2006), in a recent blogpost Google has shown us that now they will alert us to the fact the website uses Flash.

I personally find it hard to even see why websites are still even using Flash with the faster more reliable HTML5 tearing through the internet. With it being supported universally says Google;

“Fortunately, making websites that work on all modern devices is not that hard: websites can use HTML5 since it is universally supported, sometimes exclusively, by all devices”

The changeover from HTML5 has all stemmed from Steve Jobs rash decision (at the time) to not support his then 2007 iPhone, and has been fully backed by the world of tech to have been a great decision. I think this is a step in the right direction from Google with hopefully it being phased out.
