Check out these animated vintage tech relics, feeling nostalgic?

As a late 80’s baby I’m finding it harder and harder to remember what life was like before Netflix, cloud storage and teeny tiny gadgets that get lost in my pockets.

However, this animated photo series called “Relics of Technology” by Jim Golden brings back some very fond early memories and has left me feeling all warm, fuzzy and nostalgic this morning.

Watch as a phone bigger than your head flashes, tape recorder wheels spin round and a typewriter taps away at an actual piece of paper. Not all of Golden’s photos are animated, we love his homage to the floppy disk and the VHS tape.

We’re not the types to complain about how things were so much better back in the “good ol’ days”, but it’s nice to take a trip down memory lane now and then in order to appreciate just how far the tech world has come in a relatively short space of time.
